Workload Reduction

  • We run a 4.5 day week, finishing at lunchtime on a Friday

  • 3 week Christmas holiday

  • No performance management.  We have automatic pay progression

  • We have replaced retrospective marking with live marking

  • ‘Memory booklets’  allow staff to set simple homework with minimal marking 

  • Centralised detentions mean staff do not need to run individual detentions

  • No written school reports 

  • No formal lesson observations
